Everyone Communicates, Few Connect
Guest Speaker: Nancy Jones, Crossroads Coaching and Career Counseling

Tuesday, July 18
9:00 - 10:00 am
Del Lago Golf Club

In this interactive workshop we will focus on the Five Principles and Five Practices to develop the crucial skill of connecting. These Principles and Practices are from the book, Everyone Communicates, Few Connect, by world-renowned leadership expert, John C. Maxwell. If you want to succeed, you must learn to connect with people.

If you can connect with others - one-on-one, in groups, and with an audience - your sense of community improves, your ability to create team work increases and your influence skyrockets. People who connect with others have better relationships, experience less conflict, and get more things done than those who cannot connect. Leaders who have learned the art of connection are able to communicate their ideas persuasively, establishing buy-in and attracting followers.

The ability to connect with others is a major determining factor in reaching our full potential. It’s no secret! Connecting is a skill you can learn and apply in your personal, professional, and family relationships.

“Only One Thing Stands Between You and Success. It Isn’t Experience. It Isn’t Talent.”

About the Speaker:

Nancy Jones
Crossroads Coaching and Career Counseling, LLC

As the owner of Crossroads Coaching and Career Counseling, L.L.C., my mission is to use my creativity, passion, candor, and humor to help leaders impact lives and grow their businesses. I am passionate about helping people discover and work in their strengths. I am a proponent of abundance thinking – sharing whatever is available for the success of all. My goal-oriented outlook on life and my sincere desire to help others reach their goals led me to join the John Maxwell Team.

I hold a dual Masters Degree in Vocational Counseling and Evaluation from the University of Arizona and have completed a Masters program in Adult Education. Prior to starting Crossroads, I was employed as a career counselor and transition coordinator for a school district for 22 years, working with individuals with disabilities by assisting them in determining their strengths and connecting them with appropriate post-secondary opportunities.

In my capacity as a team coach for the Arizona Department of Education’s Professional Development Leadership Academy, I assist faculty from Arizona's school districts to define focused goals for student achievement. In addition, I have five years of experience as a facilitator for Mastermind groups, both in business and education.

Of all my accomplishments, I am most proud of my two sons, Will, a wild land firefighter supervisor with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Bryan, a police officer. My greatest source of joy are my grandsons, Ben and TJ. I believe everyone can achieve success. I would like to help you reach your full potential and purpose in life through an intentional plan of development. Working together we can create positive and profitable change, improve productivity, and create the atmosphere that is necessary for effective personal and professional growth and goal attainment.
