Ambassadors

We know how hard it can be to walk into a room full of strangers and strike up a conversation. We also know how valuable your time is. You want to use it as effectively as possible to make strong strategic business connections.

That's where the ambassadors come in.

There is always an ambassador at the Greater Vail Area Chamber of Commerce events ready to welcome you into the room and point you in the direction of the people who can help you achieve your goals. Get to know these people and look for one of them (or anyone with an ambassador badge on) at the next event.

Why did you join GVACC?
I joined the GVACC chamber because I realized after moving from Texas, that the opportunity to network and build relationships is important. A fellow coworker shared with me the benefits that the Vail Chamber provides and that it was a great way to meet other business owners.

Favorite GVACC Program
My favorite GVACC program are the evening mixers because they provide a different and exciting way to connect with the community and network after a days work.

Favorite Tip for New Members
Do not hesitate to hang out with and meet new people. Vail is a great community and everyone has something different to offer.

Favorite Thing About Working in Vail
The community of Vail offers a variety of different cultures and backgrounds that all have a very common goal, which is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for family life. All the while being surrounded by the natural beauty that open dessert life has to offer.

In My Free Time I Like To:

Why did you join GVACC?
I joined the chamber when it was first forming about 7 or 8 years ago. I joined because I have been a Vail Resident since 2004 and sell homes in Vail and the Greater Tucson area and wanted to be a positive part of helping businesses grow in Vail and serve the Vail community. Being a Vail resident I was excited to support the community in which I live through the Vail Chamber.

Favorite GVACC Program
My favorite GVACC program is the scholorship contest that we have so we can award the 5 scholarships to the seniors of the Vail school district. What a great way to encourage education.

Favorite Tip for New Members
Take time to meet with members outside of the regular meetings so you can make true connections and learn about each other, this promotes trust which will then promote business for each other.

Favorite Thing About Working in Vail
I love working in Vail because I love making our commuity a better place to live. Being a resident here for 12 years I know our community well and know our housing market very well and can therefore do a superior job for my clients. Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest purchases and life changes a person ever does and I love being nearby to help guide them through the process and make their transition in or out of the community a smooth one.

In My Free Time I Like To:
Free time!! Don't have much of that but when I do I love spending time with my family. We have 6 grandkids and summer pool parties are such good times! I also have a passion for dogs, we have 4 fur babies and I volunteer with Southern Arizona Greyhound Rescue doing home checks and transportation with the hope of placing all retired Greyhounds into wonderful forever homes!!

Why did you join GVACC?
Having a home based business, I joined the chamber so I could introduce my business to members and the community. I enjoy learning from other professionals and like minded business people. It gives me the opportunity to grow my business all while helping other businesses in the community! I love seeing businesses flourish! It is a win, win!

Favorite GVACC Program
I really enjoy the Vail Country Fair. It brings the community and businesses together. It is a fun filled day for all ages. It just gives the feeling of "community!"

Favorite Tip for New Members
My favorite tip for new members is to become involved as much as you can. Attend the monthly meetings if possible, the power hour and any of our mixers. It gives you the ability to network and get to know who and what our community is made of. Besides that, it is fun!

Favorite Thing About Working in Vail
My favorite thing about working in Vail, is that I get to work from home! We absolutely love the Vail area and the people!

In My Free Time I Like To:
Going for walks and being out in nature, reading, swimming, going to the lake and attending concerts. The really neat thing during my "free time" is, I can share it with my business! Being in the health and wellness business, I have a true passion to help people be the healthiest person they can be! In fact, I like to say "I help people die young as late in life as possible!"
